Cooking Club at Jen’s!!

We met in Sausalito last night and it had been far too long since we have gotten together.  Not only was the food delicious but as usual we shared some good laughs!

The theme was spring so of course I made a chocolate pie.  Actually, I was trying to make a Key Lime Pie after being in Florida for the week watching my mom try to find a good slice of Key Lime Pie with no luck.  Unfortch, neither of the markets I went to had any Key Limes so viola - chocolate pie, which I have never actually had or even seen but my new friend, Judy, gave me the idea.

I thought the pie tasted good but looked messy as the pie slices did not come out in a beautiful pie slice shape.  Thanks to my sous chef, Anne who hand whipped the topping!  (And when I announced from the kitchen, “It’s firm!” I was talking about the whipped cream not, as Teresa was wondering, continuing on with our conversation about Tiger Woods!)

The pie is Cooking Light chocolate pudding in a graham cracker crust with whipped cream.
